New Student Programs

All new undergraduate students need to attend a New Student Orientation session. * The New Student Orientation program at Kennesaw State University is the first step in ensuring that new students have a successful transition and integration into college life.

By attending orientation, students will:

  • Connect with university faculty, staff, and other KSU students

  • Complete a schedule and register for classes in their chosen major

  • Attend an academic advising session

  • Acquire more knowledge about student support services, the Division of Student Affairs, and the KSU academic experience

  • Gain a better understanding of the personal and financial responsibilities of attending college

  • Reduce anxiety about the transition to college life

  • Understand the necessity of students taking ownership and academic responsibility in their educational process

For additional questions, please contact New Student Programs at 470-KSU-INFO (470-578-4636) or email.

*International, transient, auditing, and graduate students do not need to attend an orientation session with New Student Programs. Please contact your Academic Advisor for more information.
