In response to the public health emergency related to the coronavirus (COVID-19), and under guidance from the University System of Georgia (USG), we will transition New Student Orientation to an online experience for students beginning classes for the Fall 2020 term.
New Student Orientation and Parent Orientation will take place virtually in a live format on the student and parent’s scheduled orientation day. In addition, the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs will offer preorientation modules, as well as various sessions throughout the summer with campus partners.
The first step in receiving custom details for your orientation session is to register by clicking here.
The fee for online New Student Orientation is $40.
The fee for online Parent Orientation is $20.
If you registered for Orientation before the decision was made to host virtual orientations during the summer, you will receive a refund for the difference between what you paid and the new pricing in May.
We look forward to virtually welcoming you this summer and seeing you face-to-face this Fall! If you have any questions, please contact us at KSUOrientation@kennesaw.edu.

The New Student Orientation program at Kennesaw State University is the first step in ensuring that new undergraduate students have a successful transition and integration into college life. The program promotes discussion among parents, new students, continuing students, and faculty and staff on the expectations and perceptions of the campus community.
By attending orientation, students will:
Connect with university faculty, staff and other KSU students
Complete a class schedule in their chosen major
Attend an academic advising session
Acquire more knowledge about student support services, the Division of Student Affairs, and the KSU academic experience
Gain a better understanding of the personal and financial responsibilities of attending college
Reduce anxiety about the transition to college life
Understand the necessity of students taking ownership and academic responsibility in their educational process
