The Freshman First Flight program is for you! Attend KSU two weeks before fall semester
kicks off and get a taste of life as a KSU Owl while completing one core course.

Freshman First Flight is an opportunity to receive class credit while experiencing KSU before the regular Fall 2021 semester begins! This program offers you the opportunity to take and complete ECON 1000 as well as meet new students by living on campus and participating in student activities like a trip to a Braves game and optional excursions to Atlanta attractions including the Zoo Atlanta, the Fernbank Museum, the World of Coca-Cola, and the National Center for Civil & Human Rights.*

Let KSU’s world-class professors open your mind to the world of economics and the intersection of wealth, people, and choices, all while earning two credit hours toward one of your general education requirements. You can have fun, meet new friends and lighten your load for the regular fall semester while staying on track to graduate in four years.**

Best of all, you pay only $1,100!*** This covers tuition, the book for the course, events, food, and housing. Plus, this program is financial aid eligible!****

Be among the first to form a new on-campus group at KSU! Make friends and participate in end-of-summer activities together, all before school officially starts. Form a bond with like-minded students who are just as eager to have fun as they are to succeed!

You’ll love living in Hornet Village on the Marietta Campus, where you will get a taste of the residence life as well as support from experienced Summer Ambassadors.

Students won't be in their permanent fall housing assignment during Freshman First Flight. We are encouraging students to move in during the traditional Move-In dates if possible, from August 12 through 14. This will provide them with a better student experience.

Housing will work with students who need to stay on campus between Freshman First Flight and the start of traditional Move-In! If you're not local or need another accommodation, email us at

Freshman First Flight

Freshman First Flight will be held July 26 through August 6, 2021 and is limited to 300 students. To learn more about this opportunity, join us on Facebook Live: Ask Admissions featuring Freshman First Flight.
